Earning Criteria

• The earner has participated in at least 75% of the practical sessions on the Real Ideas Green Thinkers Programme.
• The earner has demonstrated the ability to listen and follow instructions in an outdoor green setting.
• The earner has demonstrated understanding and application of health and safety in an outdoor, green setting such as a park, garden, farm or woodland.
• The earner has demonstrated the ability to use a range of essential gardening tools such as secateurs, loppers, drills, mallets and hoes, in a safe manner.
• The earner has demonstrated skills in a range of outdoor tasks such as weeding, deadheading, planting, tree first aid, overgrowth cutting and wildlife habitat management.
• The earner has demonstrated an awareness of the benefits of urban green spaces such as parks, gardens, farms and woodland, and the crucial role they play in environmental cycles.
• This badge is only available to Students, Members or Employees.
