Earner has demonstrated the ability to identify commonly found species within their local bio-region, including the genera mammals, birds, trees, vascular plants, butterflies, reptiles, amphibians, and insects. They have familiarity with appropriate apps, keys, and field guides to assist with this.

Earner has demonstrated their ability to carry out biological recording of these commonly found species and are familiar with the relevant survey methodologies for recording and submitting data to appropriate regional and national monitoring bodies and organisations.

Earner is familiar with the relevant policy and legislation underpinning the protection and conservation of habitats and native flora and fauna, and has completed training in Protected Species & the Law.
