Earning Criteria

• Earner is able to recognise and assess the unique qualities that make a site special and demonstrate an ability to utilise and communicate these through engagement events.
• Earner has gained practical experience of running events by shadowing staff at different SWLT events including school visits, volunteer days, and county shows.
• Earner has demonstrated an ability to plan, organise, and execute a number of safe and successful public events. This will have demonstrated competence in applying risk assessment and safe working practices to ensure public safety and be competent with logistical planning in relation to the equipment, resources, staff required, and be able to work within budget constraints.
• Earner has demonstrated how to develop and implement an appropriate communications and marketing strategy to promote events. Earner has developed relevant skills in posting to social media, writing blogs, designing posters and flyers to promote events.
• Earner has employed a variety of ways to evaluate how effective and successful an event was and be able to implement changes accordingly to improve future events.
• Earner has undertaken training in event planning with relevant senior staff to ensure the values and standards of the charity are maintained and represented in future planned events.
