Earners of the Action Research Facilitator badge have successfully led teams of teachers through a professional learning action research cycle. They can help teaching teams refine a research question, identify appropriate data sources, analyse the effects of their interventions and present their findings to their colleagues. They adopt a facilitative approach to keeping teams accountable to each other and to their research aims.

Has facilitated six professional learning sessions for teaching teams, during which they have completed an action research project as part of Ballarat Grammar's Professional Growth Program.

Has advised teaching teams on how to use high-quality evidence as part of a research project. Evidence types cover quantitative and qualitative types, such as pre and post-test data, student work samples, perception surveys, and research journals.

This badge is aligned with the AITSL Professional Standard 6 for the Lead Teacher stage.
