Earners submit their evidence to an expert in Ethical Reasoning who then evaluates the evidence for competency. For the Silver level of this badge, students have met the following criteria:

Earners can articulate their ethical stance and are clear about its authoritative sources. They can identify the authoritative source of their ethical stance.

Earners can define ethical reasoning and can articulate the ethical stance of others.

Earners can describe the importance of ethical reasoning in an organization. They can articulate examples of short- and long-term problems that emerge from a lack of ethical reasoning.

Earners can define an ethical dilemma by identifying the different ethical stances of relevant stakeholders in a case presented and explaining why it leads to an ethical dilemma.
