Cornerstones - Catholic Forms of Prayer
Through this unit the participant is able to articulate the role of prayer in the Catholic school. They can lead and teach traditional catholic forms of prayer, including the Lord’s Prayer, Grace before and after meals, the Hail Mary, the Rosary and the Examen. They can apply blessing prayers, petitions, meditation, contemplation and praying with art and Icons to the classroom setting.

Earning Criteria

Participate in fortnightly sessions over 8 weeks (4 sessions in total). The duration of each session is 2 hours. The first hour is instructor led, the second hour is group participation.

Complete four by 500 word online post in response to the content and discussions.
Standards
20 hours of Accreditation to Teach Religious Education. The course is created to meet the criteria of the Australian Qualifications Framework Level 5.
