This professional development equips participants with essential knowledge and skills to conduct Point of Care (POC) testing for SARS-CoV-2. This training consists of: (a) Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for confidentiality of protected health information, (b) personal protective equipment (including donning and doffing), (c) obtaining nasal swab specimens, (d) sample management for processing specimens, and (e) analyzer operation for for obtaining specimen results.
