The badge earner is able to distinguish the components of battery systems and the role of Battery Management Systems (BMS). They are able to recognize series-parallel battery cell arrangements and how they change the capabilities of battery packs. They are able to list the components of a basic battery system and describe the functionality of each. They are also able to identify and classify hardware sub-components of BMS, and describe advantages/disadvantages of BMS hardware topologies.
