The badge earner has completed 5 weeks of online training and is introduced to the fundamentals of FEM through typical mechanical engineering examples. The badge earner is able to understand the fundamentals of Finite Element Method and stiffness method to solve engineering problems and to write computer codes to use Finite Element Method to solve basic engineering problems. The earner is able to apply the stiffness method to solve truss, beam, frame and 1-D fluid flow problems.
