Earning Criteria

Student has used a range of career information sources to undertake extensive research into Careers / Employers / Industry of Interest for their work placement , found contact details for the employer and approached them in person, via phone or email to secure their work experience placement.

Student has liaised directly with the employer to ascertain start and finish times and uniform requirements of their placement and has organised all required documentation was completed and signed off by themselves, the employer and their parents and submitted to the Careers office by the closing date before their placement

The student has completed the online workplace training prior to their placement and provided their host employer with their certificate.

Student has attended their 1 week work placement on time each day and undertaken all activities offered by their host employer.

If student was late for work or unable to attend on any day, the student has advised both the employer and College before their work start time.

Student has logged their experience via the BDC Careers website and recorded their reflection on their experience.

Student has emailed or dropped off to the employer a thank you letter and invited them to complete the feedback form on their performance at work.

Students have uploaded the employer feedback sheet to the BDC Careers website.
