Earners of the Project Architecture Gold badge have led multiple project architecture efforts throughout the whole project life-cycle and demonstrated a pattern of reusing architecture assets in order to align project work with our enterprise strategies and standards to ensure that the projects deliver greater value and stay on schedule.

Earning Criteria

Earn the Project Architecture Silver badge or equivalent.

Serve as the Lead Project Architect on the full life-cycle of two non-trivial projects (Pre-Discovery through Warranty). As with the Silver badge, serving as the LPA involves comprehensive project documentation and supporting materials as well as Architecture Review Board (ARB) approval. Also, receive coaching from a more experienced Solution Architect in the process of completing the Project Architecture deliverables.

Support reuse two ways: (1) by harvesting at least 2 additional non-trivial project architecture assets (in addition to work done to earn the Silver badge) and organizing them for reuse and (2) by reusing in your project architecture at least 2 additional non-trivial domain or project assets previously harvested. These assets can be reference architectures, standards, or patterns. Architecture Review Board (ARB) approval is required.
