Foundational Practices for Success in Early Literacy

Learners engaged in interactive activities to explore and enhance their own early literacy toolkit to foster teacher candidates’ early literacy beliefs, attitudes, knowledge, and skills leading to success for all learners. Collaborative teams, comprised of teacher educators at the higher education and PK-12 levels, in thoughtful partnership to engage in program review and enhance teacher early literacy instruction.

Collaborative teams, comprised of teacher educators at the higher education and PK-12 levels, worked in thoughtful partnership to engage in program review and enhance teacher early literacy instruction. Participants created an action plan to revise or enhance current practices as informed by summit learnings.
