Appreciative Inquiry focuses on the strengths of individuals, groups, and organizations, moving from a problem-focused mindset to one of innovation and possibility. Participants learn to ignite change that transforms educator preparation programs (EPPs) and PK-12 schools by focusing on the strengths and potential of its faculty, teacher candidates, and its district/community partners to accomplish co-creative goals.

Objectives: Explore the concept of appreciative inquiry and its principles. Reflect on how appreciative inquiry impacts your ecosystem (e.g., students, community, EPP). Identify opportunities, influences, and strategies that will allow EPPs, teacher candidates, and district/community partners to strengthen their commitment to improvement for all. Collaboratively create and implement an action plan that will create forward and positive momentum on shared initiatives.
