20-Hour Micro-credential in Teaching Pearson PTE Test Prep

Earners of this badge can provide a detailed description of the PTE, its purpose, and explain the experience students undergo when taking the PTE. Earners can assess students’ English levels using the Global Scale of English and connect their score to CEFR. Earners can describe the tasks of the PTE and its scoring standards to help students develop communication skills and describe the steps students take during a PTE task to ensure it develops targeted communication and interpersonal skills.

Earning Criteria

Receive an accumulative score of 70% or higher by completing 1 final exam and a graded assessment. The graded assessment includes the assessment of a sample PTE test taker followed by the creation of an activity dedicated to test-taking strategies and PTE prep. Earners must accompany their activity with a rationale that is assessed by an instructor.
