This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to improve their pronunciation of English. Students in this course are able to practice their pronunciation of sounds in American English and to address specific challenges with respect to accent and pronunciation.

PREREQUISITE: MUST HAVE COMPLETED 1B (Or have an intermediate English proficiency level)
Students will be able to: 1. Demonstrate an understanding the written and phonetic correlation in the English language; 2. Recognize and produce phonemes which are difficult or non-existent in their native language; 3. Demonstrate a more native-like command over intonation; and 4. Recognize and produce various tones of voice to fit various emotional needs.
Student will be holistically assessed to determine if they have satisfactorily mastered the material/met the learning outcomes.
