This ServSafe training course will prepares you to take the official ServSafe Certification exam. ServSafe training is designed by food service and safety professionals, and it meets the requirements of state and federal laws and regulations. You will learn: the importance of food safety handling, forms of contaminations, hazards in the flow of food, purchasing, receiving & storage of food as well as additional topics.

Earning Criteria

Individuals who complete the program and pass the accredited certification exam are recognized as Certified Food Safety Managers. This class is delivered in two 4-hour training sessions. The on-line proctored exam, with review will be administered on the third day.

At the conclusion of the training, the student will be versed in understanding the importance of food safety handling. Understanding forms of contaminations, the safe food handler – personal hygiene, hazards in the flow of food - preventing cross contamination, purchasing, receiving and storage, food preparation – thawing and cooking practices, guidelines for serving safe food, food safety management systems, facilities and pest management and cleaning and sanitizing.
