Students establish a strong introductory framework for understanding and practicing in the paralegal field including civil procedure, the function of the courts, and legal research. Students also gain an understanding of the scope and importance of business law and its fundamental principles, concepts, and rules.

Government and Development of Public Policy
LAWS100 Introduction to Paralegal Studies completion earning a C or better. This is a survey course encompassing the varied duties of a paralegal as practiced in Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. This course describes work done by paralegals in the following areas: civil procedure, administrative law, legal research, and legal writing.
MGMT 130 Business Law completion earning a C or better. This course examines the fundamentals of Business Law, the legal process and environment within which individuals and business operate, and the relationship of law, business, and the individual. Topics include the basic elements of a contract, the Uniform Commercial Code, and provision on sales and negotiable instruments.
Completion of an additional paralegal studies course at Bucks County Community College. Must earn a C or higher.
