Earning Criteria

• Students must be able to evidence the following to be considered for this position: • Pro-active participation in previous House and School productions throughout their time at Camberwell Girls. • Achievement of School Drama Badge.
• • Demonstrating a commitment to the role by regularly meeting with members of the Drama Department, and other relevant staff, regarding the role and promotion of House Dance and Drama events. This promotion may take the form of written articles for newsletters, writing presentations / announcements for assemblies, creating and maintaining a positive social media profile for the department to the wider School Community.
• In conjunction with staff, supporting House Dance, Music, Drama, Technical and Visual Art Captains to respond to a thematic prompt in order to create elements of their performance for the House events. This may also include assisting with auditions, providing feedback or offering support during rehearsals.
• • Compering the House Dance and Drama, together with the School House Captain. • Purposeful contact and support of each House, offering guidance for all Houses equally and stepping in when the need arises.
• • Supporting all aspects of the School Production process, leading by example in the way they approach rehearsals (in which ever capacity they choose to work; acting, assistant direction or design), taking the initiative to guide other members of the ensemble when needed and without needing to be asked.
• It is expected that the School Drama Captain and Technical Captain take the initiative to touch base with the Performing Arts teachers to offer assistance and keep track of all performances throughout the year. This is a pro-active role
