Earners of the Registered Behavior Technician Workforce Training Certificate have met the 40-hour training requirement for the Registered Behavior Technician credential. Training is based on the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Task List for entry-level technicians implementing behavior/analytic services primarily for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Earning Criteria

Complete the Registered Behavior Technician Workforce Training Certificate program to prepare to take the Registered Behavior Technician exam. Topics include behavioral health, socially acceptable behaviors, communication, social interaction, problem-solving skills and appropriate interventions to build these skills with individuals on the autism spectrum. Documentation and ethics & standards are outlined in direct implementation of skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans.
To be eligible to sit for the RBT exam, a high school diploma or equivalent is required, as well as an RBT Competency Assessment and background check.
