Participants who complete the curriculum will demonstrate: 1. Knowledge of the basics of COVID-19, including transmission, signs, and symptoms of the disease, and the incubation and infectious periods; 2. The ability to identify and apply disease investigation protocols to realistic scenarios; 3. Understanding of ethical implications surrounding contact tracing and handling private health information; and, 4. The ability to apply social determinants of health tenants to disease investigation.
Earning Criteria

This three-day, interactive training, developed by the Waukesha Country Public Health Division and Carroll University consists of seven modules leading to the Disease Investigation Badge inclusive of the following training: ASTHO Training, Wisconsin Electronic Disease Surveillance System (WEDSS) Training-CI, Contact Investigation Scenarios, Microsoft Teams Training, Disease Investigation, WEDSS Training--DI, and Disease Investigation Scenarios.

Participant completed and passed each of six module assessments with a minimum score of 4/5, demonstrating efficiency in the following areas: Wisconsin Electronic Disease Surveillance System (WEDSS) Training,-CI Contact Investigation Scenarios, Microsoft Teams Training, Disease Investigation, WEDSS Training--DI, and Disease Investigation Scenarios.
