These skills are useful for improving the quality of clinical care supporting decision-making in various healthcare organizations. Full access to Microsoft Excel 365 version is preferred. The Microsoft Excel app and web version are not recommended.

Earning Criteria

  • The learner will review the materials Microsoft Excel tutorials provided via the Canvas site. An analysis project will be completed in Microsoft Excel demonstrating the following competencies given a healthcare scenario and data set: Data wrangling (prep, cleaning, and transformation) and dashboard creation and storytelling. The documents to be submitted includes a completed data dictionary, updated dataset and results, and Excel spreadsheet(s) with visualizations, analytics, and dashboard(s).
