Participants who earn this badge demonstrate an understanding of best practices for client interactions including but not limited to motivational interviewing, communication, conflict resolution, and development of materials that reflect client health literacy levels. Additionally, these earners are able to incorporate their knowledge and assessment of health literacy practices when working on an interprofessional team.
Earning Criteria

Successfully completed the Interprofessional Collaborative Competency Attainment Survey (ICCAS) with noted improvement scores.

Produced a comprehensive case study, presentation, and/or poster offering multiple perspectives on interprofessional teams with other health professional students (PA, PT, OT, and Nursing)

Identified and applied integrative health opportunities to enhance client wellness based in at least one of the three categories of social determinants of health: physical environment, social environment and individual characteristics/behaviors
