Earners of the Interprofessioanl Health Literacy Education and Practice badge demonstrate an understanding of health literacy best practices for client interactions. They have the ability to assess client health literacy levels and adjust communication and materials accordingly. Additionally, these earners are able to incorporate their knowledge of health literacy practices when working on an interprofessional team.
Earning Criteria

Recipients have demonstrated health literacy competencies in final poster and presentation for interprofessional faculty reviewers, and developed or revised patient education materials to meet the client’s health literacy level.

Recipients have demonstrated interprofessional practice team improvement in an original health literacy evaluation tool developed specifically to measure the learning outcomes of the health literacy education.
