Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) Training
Issued by
Catalyst Connection
Participants are introduced to the use of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to analyze a design or process in order to identify potential failures and consider improvement needs. By assessing the severity of a potential failure, the likelihood that the failure will occur, and the probability of detecting the failure, potential issues can be prioritized for improvement. This class will introduce the student to both design FMEA’s (dFMEA’s) and process FMEA’s (pFMEA’s).
Skills
- Concepts Of Severity
- Identification And Classification Of Potential Failure Modes
- Introduce The Student To Both Design FMEA’s (dFMEA’s) And Process FMEA’s (pFMEA’s).
- Occurrence And Detection And Ultimately The Risk Priority Number (RPN)
- Quality And Productivity Improvement Efforts
- Understanding Of FMEA Terminology And Methodology
Earning Criteria
