The Council Exchange Board of Trade’s Certified Membership (CEBOT Certified) is our base paid membership for minority technology companies. Members are able to participate in committee meetings and assist in the direction of local district level activities. Certified Members are included in communications about procurement and subcontract opportunities. Members are expected to promote and favorably represent the CEBOT brand. Standards
CEBOT's standard for defining minority business comes from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Minority Business Development Agency. "U.S. minority business enterprises (MBEs) owned and operated by African Americans, Asian Americans, Hasidic Jews, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and Pacific Islanders."
CEBOT uses the "Technology Industries and Occupations for NAICS Industry Data" from Carnegie Mellon University's Center for Economic Development as a benchmark for what is a technology company.
This credential is a result of a market research program developed provide a level of due diligence through interviews conducted through CEBOT's Investment Member Chubb.
