The CDSE Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Security, (Generalist) is designed to provide Department of Defense employees with the skills they need to succeed in a Security Generalist career path. This certificate is made up of four courses that facilitate an understanding of the bureaucratic politics and organizational approaches used to perform cross-disciplinary security functions within DOD, as well as security program evaluation and assessment procedures, and the legal requirements.

Obtained a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited higher education institution; Must currently be either a U.S. Government civilian employee or a U.S. military service member; Must be a U.S. citizen; Must have successfully passed at least one CDSE Education course with a final score of 80% or higher; Must have an updated STEPP account.
