The earner of this badge has attended and participated in a school administrator preparation module on skills for leading school improvement. The module provides an overview of the school improvement process, data-informed decision-making, research on school improvement, needs assessment and root-cause identification, solution identification, action planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as stakeholder engagement in the planning process.
Standards
The NELPS outline the knowledge and skills that a well-prepared beginning school administrator should have upon successfully completing a preparation program. The NELPS are comprised of eight standards with subsequent components that provide detailed context and clarification for each overarching standard.
