CDU AWEsome Program

The CDU Careers Centre coordinates the Australian Workplace Experience (AWEsome) Program each semester allowing international students to experience the Australian workplace and office culture, ask questions and practice professional skills in a safe environment and develop confidence and soft skills. The program provides a series of workshops giving international students a solid foundation with which to complete a 50-hour work placement in a CDU work unit.

Earning Criteria

AWEsome students must complete an 8-week workshop series (2 hours per workshop) and then a 50-hour work placement in a CDU work unit. Students are required to complete a Learning Agreement at the start of their placement, then must document/record/reflect on their workplace experience through a logbook. An evaluation form is completed by their supervisor at the end of the placement.
