This badge recognises completion of a course that develops skills and knowledge in conducting research with diverse populations, including Indigenous communities, other nationalities, and vulnerable individuals. This includes: research paradigms and methods; supervision of diverse populations; ethical issues that arise when conducting research with diverse populations; cultural competence and cultural humility; and opportunities to collaborate with diverse populations.

Earning Criteria

Develop a research proposal using your knowledge of research paradigms, research methods, and research ethics that are applicable to diverse populations. The research proposal should comprise at least 2000 words and utilise at least 10 distinct principles you learned from the course.
Develop some resources—such as guidelines or videos—that other researchers could use when conducting research with diverse populations.
Short multiple-choice test to assesses the knowledge learned during the course.
