Change Champions understand and apply the foundational principles of change management to their lives and work, including creating the conditions for change, communicating change, and structuring projects to support change.

Earning Criteria

Participants are required to attend and participate in a two-day course wherein the core competencies of the certification are introduced, discussed, and applied to common scenarios in work and at home.

Participants were required to draft, review, and submit a final 'Change Memo' related to a scenario in which they are currently (or plan on) dealing with the dynamics of change. Participants were required to diagnose and communicate change in a way that is informed by the principles of change management.
Standards
Students will identify change in their personal and professional lives to assess the impact of change on themselves and others.
Students will understand how brain science impacts how people respond to change and demonstrate empathy to those who respond negatively to change.
Students will examine change scenarios through the 'Three Ps of Change", including people, processes, and programs. Students will communicate their examination through written word.
Students will analyze different styles of communication to apply the most appropriate communication styles to different change scenarios.
Students will identify the characteristics of strong change leadership to explain the outcome of different change scenarios.
