Initiative is the ability to be resourceful and work without always being told what to do. It requires personal responsibility and determination. Earners of this badge have demonstrated they can think for themselves and take action when necessary. They have done things without being asked, solved problems that others may not have noticed needed solving, & gone out of their way to continue learning and growing. They have done extra research if required, asked questions, and sought help if needed.
