• Research experience indicates the individual is able to conduct original and independent research with technical expertise in academic and/or non-academic related professions.
• Communication skills indicates the individual is able to be succinct and communicate with a variety of audiences; has the ability to dive deeper into the research in a technical context but also present a technical topic to a non-specialist audience; demonstrates the ability to communicate to diverse audiences in written, digital, and oral formats.
• Passion for the project indicates the individual has a desire for learning, a hunger for innovation, and a commitment to sharing the broader impacts of their research with the public.
