Earning Criteria

The Medical Records Specialist Micro-Credential involves three 3-credit classes: Medical Coding, Medical Billing, and Medical Office Procedures.
Courses involve online discussion, quizzes, interaction with instructor, and assignments that involve application of assigned material.
Capstone Experience: Passage of at least one of the following two national exams offered by the AMCA. The MAAC Medical Administrative Assistant Certification and/or the MCBC- Medical Coder and Biller Certification.
