Certificate of Achievement for the Front-end Coaching Intensive (FECI)
Columbia Coaching Center of Excellence (CCOE) is a strategic partnership between Teachers College and the Columbia Business School. FECI focuses on learning and applying 3 foundations (i.e., 4 guiding principles and 4 of 9 core coaching competencies, embedded in a comprehensive 3-phased process - FECI addresses 7 of 9 coaching components) that comprise the Columbia Approach to Executive and Organizational Coaching. FECI is a 5-day intensive offered for 4.2 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Earning Criteria

Assignments – 4 elements, including: (1) pre-work reading; (2) prep for coaching sessions (including self-assessment regarding coaching foundations, i.e., (a) 3 Practices for each of the 4 guiding principles; (b) 3 Behaviors Examples for each of the 4 foundational competencies; (c) 3 Coaching Tasks for Each Coaching Process Component); (3) 7 Asynchronous Sessions; and (4) submission of 6 daily workbooks that document the completion of various planning and in-course assignments during the week.

5 assessments including: (a) Base-line Coaching Foundations Self-Assessment; (b) Learning Style Inventory (LSI); (c) Thinking Style Assessment (NBI); (d) End-of-the-Week Foundations Self-Assessment; and (e) 6 Knowledge Checks of Asynchronous Units.
Standards
The Columbia Coaching Foundations (i.e., guiding principles, competencies, and process) are the result of extensive applied and empirical research, grounded in the science of human performance, provide the educational standards for the FECI segment (42 contact hours) of the 1-Year Graduate Level Columbia Coaching Certification Program.
The FECI is offered for 4.2 Continuing Educational Units (CEUs), which are earned with the attendance for all 42-contact hours for the week of the intensive. The Certificate of Achievement for the FECI is awarded with the submission of the 6 completed daily workbooks along with the completion of the 6 Knowledge Checks of Asynchronous Units.
