Credentialed Holistic Financial Coach
Columbia Coaching Center of Excellence (CCOE), Teachers College, Columbia University, in partnership with Equitable Advisors, offers a customized Holistic Financial Coaching Program. The program is created especially for the firm’s Financial Professionals and Leaders, resulting in the “Credentialed Holistic Financial Coach” designation upon the successful completion of a rigorous assessment and certification process.

Earning Criteria

Pre-requisite: The Credentialed Holistic Financial Coach title and custom coaching credential is available exclusively to Financial Professionals (FPs) of Equitable Advisors who are FINRA Registered with a B/D or Investment Advisor.

Education and Training: Five, 120-minute coaching education and training modules focused on – (a) 6 Client Promises and 2 Enabling Guiding Principles (i.e., mindset); (b) 4 Foundational Coaching Competencies; and (c) a 3-Phased Coaching Process integrated with the Client Process (10 contact hours).

Assignments: Four, 3-hour guided assignments between modules that include application work with coaching potential clients (12 hours).

Assessments: (1) Timed (45 minute) written-knowledge exam with a score of 80% or higher and (2) Demonstrate learning via oral coaching exam (assessed with detailed feedback); for an additional 2 1/2 hours.
Standards
The Columbia Coaching Foundations (i.e., guiding principles, competencies, and process) are the result of extensive applied and empirical research, grounded in the science of human performance, provide the educational standards for the 1-Year Graduate Level Columbia Coaching Certification Program (126 contact hours).
A modified version of the 3 Columbia Coaching Foundations was created for Equitable Advisors and form the educational and training standards for the Credentialed Holistic Financial Coach designation.
Holistic Financial Coaching Program is offered for 2.4 Continuing Educational Units (CEUs), by Teachers College, Columbia University, as an authorized International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) provider.
