Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) Certification Inactive

The Commission on Nurse Certification developed the CNL Certification Inactive category to recognize certified Clinical Nurse Leaders in good standing who want to relinquish their active CNL status due to a professional career change in which they are no longer employed in nursing. If the individual with granted CNL-Inactive status re-enters an active clinical role which requires current CNL certification they may submit to CNC materials to meet the CNL certification renewal requirements.

Graduate from an accredited CNL Master's Program or Post-Master Certificate Program or be a student in their last term.

CNC’s Clinical Nurse Leader Certification Program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). CNC is also a proud member of NCCA.
