Complete readings and assignments in 15 modules. Topics include network models and cabling, ethernet, installing a physical network, TCP/IP basics and applications, routing, network naming, advanced networking devices, IPv6, wireless networking, building a network, managing risk, network security and troubleshooting.

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of local area networks through a series of labs, quizzes, and a final exam.

Design a network proposal for a new business. This proposal will include an identification of requirements (including anticipated future needs), network devices, adding IPs, basic routing, DNS naming, VLANs, IPv6, failure planning, security, and rationale. Once the proposal is complete, earners will develop a presentation that will outline all of the key aspects for the customer.
