Earning Criteria
-
Builds an organizational structure inside the chosen LMS that uses folders, pages, etc. and provides a brief description of and rationale for the chosen structure The structure should organize all the lessons, topics or other content for the course. The structure should account for storing, managing, and giving students access to course documents. The structure makes topics, time frames and deadlines clear to the student. Where deadlines have not been determined, hypothetical ones are used.
-
Provides a rough draft of the syllabus and topical outline for the course, using an institutional template or creating a new one. A significant portion of the information for the syllabus may not be available until the course is further along in the process, so this step is intended to get the very basics down. If a syllabus already exists for the course and will not be changed, using it without modifications is acceptable.
