Earning Criteria

The candidate has successfully completed and demonstrated the following:

Importance of health and safety in the workplace and understands relevant aspects of current health and safety legislation and always demonstrated this understanding

Observes any specific safety requirements relating to the preparation and correct use of the materials, tools, equipment and methods of working

Prepare work areas, work permit, materials, equipment and tools for installing final circuits

Carry out and confirm a safe isolation in line with manufacturer’s instructions and site-specific requirements

Select and install suitable cable and accessories, and test all installed equipment. Record results, identifying any faults, and suggesting suitable remedial actions

Check that the installations and tests has been completed correctly. Reinstate the work area
