Earning Criteria

The candidate has successfully completed and demonstrated the following:

Importance of health and safety in the workplace and understands relevant aspects of current health and safety legislation and always demonstrated this understanding

Observes any specific safety requirements relating to the preparation and correct use of the materials, tools, equipment and methods of working

Select suitable cable and accessories and install the cable into the motor and local control point .

Terminate the cable into the motor and controller as per wiring instructions and test all equipment and accessories. Record results, identifying any faults, and suggesting suitable remedial actions

Safely de-isolate and energise the motor, check the phase rotation and that the installation and tests has been completed correctly . Reinstate the work area
