Earning Criteria

The candidate has successfully completed and demonstrated the following:

Importance of health and safety in the workplace and understands relevant aspects of current health and safety legislation and always demonstrated this understanding

Observes any specific safety requirements relating to the preparation and correct use of the materials, tools, equipment and methods of working

Prepare work areas, materials, equipment and tools for maintenance of a process control valve assembly

Remove the process control valve positioner and actuator from the valve assembly and renew the valve stem packing. Reassemble the valve, actuator and positioner

Body pressure test to 20 bar(g) . Stroke test the valve assembly. Calibrate and record the valve operation. Reinstate the work area
