Earning Criteria

The candidate has successfully completed and demonstrated the following:

Importance of health and safety in the workplace and understands relevant aspects of current health and safety legislation and always demonstrated this understanding

Observes any specific safety requirements relating to the preparation and correct use of the materials, tools, equipment and methods of working

Prepare work areas, materials, equipment and tools for hydrostatically pressure testing pipework

Conduct and record risk assessment and toolbox talk

Prepare the test piece for pressure test. Hydrostatically test the pipework and record pressures
-
Drain the system and remove the test piece. Reinstate the work area
Standards
