Earning Criteria

The candidate has successfully completed and demonstrated the following:

Importance of health and safety in the workplace and understands relevant aspects of current health and safety legislation and always demonstrated this understanding

Observes any specific safety requirements relating to the preparation and correct use of the materials, tools, equipment and methods of working

Prepare work areas, materials, equipment and tools for the creation of a full scale wire model and for producing and assembling threaded pipework joints

Interpret specification drawing and create a wire model

Interpret specification drawing and cut, prepare and thread pipe lengths

Assemble pipework using threaded fittings and flanges

Check that the threaded assembly has been completed correctly. Reinstate the work area
