Earning Criteria

The candidate has successfully completed and demonstrated the following:

Importance of health and safety in the workplace and understands relevant aspects of current health and safety legislation and always demonstrated this understanding

Observes any specific safety requirements relating to the preparation and correct use of the materials, tools, equipment and methods of working

Prepare the work area for the specified work activities and determine activity for SBT Assembly from P&ID and specification sheet.

Identify SBT assembly faults and determine remedial actions

Selection and correct use of tooling and correct use of Gap Inspection Gauges.

Correctly depressurise/bleed assembly to in accordance with approved procedures prior to disassembly.

Correctly disassemble SBT assembly in accordance with approved procedures and good practices.

Select correct tubing, fittings, ferrules and components as required in the rectification of faults.

Re-tighten fittings ready for testing, and re-assemble tube supports

Assembly pressure test

Correctly store tools and equipment and reinstate work area after completion of activity
