Earning Criteria
-
Completion of the course: Digital Thread Concepts and Value Proposition - Develop an awareness of the digital thread (DT), model-based engineering (MBE) and model-based definition (MBD) . Through this training you will understand & be able to describe the value proposition to your organization for adoption of MBE, MBD and the digital thread. Also you will be able to describe why source validation and characteristic accountability are important to the downstream consumption of MBD.
-
Completion of the course: CCAT Next Gen Tech Data Packages & MBD Workflows - In this course you will develop an intermediate awareness of the digital thread and model-based definition (MBD). Become familiar with technical data packages (TDP), the common file types, and the role, use and definition of derivative files. You will also be able to describe how to ensure the quality of the derivative files through validation and how MBD workflows affect the development process
-
Completion of the course: CCAT Inspection Plan Authoring Automation for MBD. Attendees will gain the ability to describe the methods and techniques used in selecting and applying inspection methods for different scenarios and demonstrate how to develop an inspection plan. Additionally, they will developing an understanding of how model-based definition has automated the inspection planning process, and reduced manual data entry significantly.
-
Completion of the course: CCAT First Article Inspection Automation for MBD. Gain an understanding of industry and government standards for first article inspection (FAI), including AS9102 and ISO 9000 series. Additionally, learn to automate the preparation of first article inspection reports and how model-based definition can reduce FAI rejections and rework.
-
Completion of the course: CCAT Intermediate Inspection Workflows for MBD. This course will help you to characterize annotations for use in downstream inspection applications and set up an inspection template for part inspection. Additionally, you will be able to work with inspection workflows on a portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
-
Completion of the course: CCAT Automated Programming of CMM Inspection. In this course you will learn to define the fundamental principles and uses of a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and describe the process of programming and set-up of such. Additionally, earners can demonstrate how advanced software can automate the program creation using MBD.
-
Completion of the course: CCAT Automated Programming of Non-Contact Inspection. Those who attend learn different non-contact inspection methods, their use cases, and demonstrate inspection workflows using advanced non-contact inspection methods. Additionally, they can describe how MBD has assisted in the automated programming of the inspection methods.
