Basic Handcuffing (4 Hours)

This course is designed to instruct students on the art of handcuffing suspects. The course will cover use of force considerations, safety and have a practical component. This course will be part of the curriculum for CRJ5482 Criminal Justice Topics II.

Earning Criteria

Complete 4 hour- course
Demonstrate handcuffing a standing subject with appropriate verbal commands
Demonstrate handcuffing a prone subject with appropriate verbal commands
Complete written exam with minimum score of 80%
