This Silver module on Making Sense of the Economy is the second of three levels, that provide learning up to Masters level. This Silver module explores how governments seek to manage a range of macroeconomic issues associated with government financing, inflation, unemployment, and international trade. It reviews the impact of fluctuations in economic activity giving rise to the so-called business cycles and explores the causes of economic growth and the implications for economic policy.
