The methods of assessment include quizzes and examinations with a minimum passing score of 70 percent.

The methods of instruction include computer-based training. The general course topics include purpose of communication; components of the communication model; communication objectives; nature of communication; channels of communication; common business communication channels; nonverbal unintended messages; basic writing skills; style; learning styles; rhetorical basics; strategic considerations; new channels of communication; ethical considerations; and cultural considerations.
