Earners can apply Dementia Care Specialists at Crisis Prevention Institute’s (CPI) Dementia Capable Care Model to implement person-centered and cognitively supportive approaches using Allen Cognitive Levels and Model, and prevent and de-escalate distress behaviors using CPI’s Crisis Development Model℠. Earners train others using approved training materials in accordance with the Certified Instructor agreement to help create a dementia capable workforce.
