The earner of this badge has completed a series of four professional development courses designed to establish a school-wide Lesson Study to improve mathematics teaching and learning through teacher collaboration. Lesson Study is a structured process for schools and teachers to work together to come up solutions to overcome challenges in order to improve teaching and learning.

Engage in all course activities and assignments and complete one lesson study cycle using Collaborative Lesson Research (CLR).

Courses are taught by the program leader, Akihiko Takahashi, associate professor of mathematics education of DePaul University. He also serves the president of the board of Lesson Study Alliance and a member of the executive committee of the World Association of Lesson Studies.
